Classroom Mentor Application
Are you a graduate or undergraduate journalism student or a current or former journalist or journalism teacher looking to share your skills and passion with local high school students and teachers? Press Pass NYC is seeking journalists (college-age and above) and journalism teachers to support local NYC high schools as they work to launch successful journalism programs. Specifically, we hope to pair individuals with school newspaper experience with our partner schools in order to provide high-level tactical guidance and ad hoc support for teachers and students new to both journalism and school newspaper production.
We are especially looking for college students interested in mentoring in-person one class period per week for 6-8 weeks. Three-hour training is required. Stipends are available.
